![]() Newly annexed territories start out with a rather friendly relationship with the Kingdom. This makes it a legal part of the Kingdom and grants a unique benefit. Completing this quest, through any of the available approaches, annexes the territory. Once a territory is an ally of the Kingdom, a quest involving a pressing issue related to the territory becomes available. And an alliance is a pre-requisite for the annexation.Īnnexing an allied territory grants the Kingdom additional special Benefits, such as higher daily money income, cheaper building construction, etc. However, an alliance with a territory allows the Hero Merchants to trade with that specific territory, and also, the allied territory's representatives (such as Diplomats and faction leaders) to visit and reside in the Kingdom's Throne Room. Oddly, an alliance does not grants any benefits, other than trade, and does not bestow any responsibilities (e.g. This normally costs 10 Resource Points, with the exception of Effenmont and Gastrobury, for which an alliance costs 5 RP. Once a territory has appeared on the map the Kingdom can form an alliance with it. ![]() Engaging in careful diplomacy can be a chore, especially considering friendly relations must be constantly maintained, but grants special benefits to those who are successful. And last, having placed the "modern" SimNation in The Sims Medival world means that has many old or even ancient cities (Yacothia is already an ancient city in The Sims Medival lore) near the newer, so having a medival walled city near modern city isn't a problem for me.The Kingdom can interact with foreign territories in a variety of ways, be it friendly trade or ruthless conquest. That's why I put the three Mediterranean cities there. Second also in the original that area is coloured with a yellowish green, that suggested me a warmer climate. About Monte Vista you have made a good point, but there's some reason if I choose to put that city here and near Del Sol Valley and Starlight Shores: first that region in The Sims Medival is described being all about cooking and eating, so for stereotype I associate the Italian city with that region. On Starlight Shores, I didn't have Showtime, so for knowing the geography of that city I used som photo and a couple of gameplay, and I noticed it has a beach. I wanted to place it in the map because is one of the my favorite cities and because I wanted to show that the drained sea of Oasis Landing is actually a lake (in original Sims Medival Map in that corner there's an huge lake). Obviously Oasis Landing in this map isn't in his futuristic version. If I missed some cities is all their fault LoL SPECIAL THANKS to The Sims Wiki that has information from all the cities with juicy information I found really useful for placing the cities. Thats why they have that decorated border. So I placed them in the map like they are micro states like San Marino or Singapore. NB: Hidden Springs and San Mayshuno aren't part of SimNation (the first because is a monarchy, the second because also if is a republic has a different government that SimNation), but still really close to SimNation. But in general I'm really satisfied with how the map came out and I wanted to share it with other simmers. Unfortunately I don't think I reached that because many sea cities in the map has become cities on major river and lakes and cities with warm climate are on the same latitude of other cold cities. The hard part was creating coherent region with cities with similar climate and theme. Obviously this is not ad absolute truth because everyone has is own idea about how SimNation look. I needed literally months for made this because was always insecure about how actually good was the map, but now I could say that the map is perfect.
